BlueStacks Won't Open, Black Screen or Crashes on Startup – Fix

BlueStacks 5 or BlueStacks 10 opens briefly and then closes, shows a black screen with no response, or crashes before reaching the home screen. Sometimes the BlueStacks loading spinner appears for a few seconds before the crash, or the process runs in Task Manager but nothing displays on screen. How do I fix BlueStacks not opening?
