# GameLoop installer stuck on Hyper-V step — installer restarts to beginning

The GameLoop / TAC installer reaches the Hyper-V prompt near the end of the install but, instead of completing, bounces back to the beginning of the installer and gets stuck on the same screen on the next attempt. Symptoms reported across multiple users:

Installer reaches the Windows feature step that requires Hyper-V or WSL.
A reboot prompt appears, but after restarting the installer resumes from scratch instead of where it left off.
Sometimes presents error code 1 after enabling Core Isolation / registry tweaks.
Reinstalling the emulator from scratch does not break the loop.
Smart Tool's own "Repair Environment" dialog can also trigger this state.

Affects: Windows 10 and 11 with virtualization disabled in BIOS, BIOS-locked virtualization, or Memory Integrity / Core Isolation enabled. AMD machines with Virtualization-based Security (VBS) active are over-represented in reports.
