# LDPlayer installation failed or games won't load — fix guide

LDPlayer fails during installation, opens but games crash immediately, or shows a black screen when launching a specific title.

You are hitting one of these:

Installer stops midway with an error message such as "Installation failed", "Error 1001", or "Unable to install LDPlayer driver"
Antivirus quarantines or blocks the installer — Windows Defender or a third-party AV flags LDPlayer as potentially unwanted software
LDPlayer opens but shows a black screen on the home screen or when launching any game
A specific game crashes or never passes the loading screen while other games work fine
"Virtualization is not enabled" warning inside LDPlayer settings, or the emulator is extremely slow because it has fallen back to software rendering

Why this happens: LDPlayer uses a hardware-accelerated Android hypervisor that requires CPU virtualization extensions (Intel VT-x or AMD-V). Antivirus tools frequently flag LDPlayer's driver installer (ldvboxnetflt / ldvboxdrv) as suspicious because it installs kernel-level components — this is a false positive, but it can silently abort the installation. Per-game crashes often trace back to LDPlayer running in software-rendering mode due to a missing or incompatible GPU driver, or to a specific game requiring a newer Android version than the LDPlayer instance is configured for.

Work through each fix in order. Most users resolve the issue at step 1 or step 2.
