# RetroArch Settings Not Saving — Config Resets on Every Launch Fix

I change settings in RetroArch — controls, video options, audio, or a core option — but when I close and reopen RetroArch, everything resets back to the defaults. My settings are not being saved. How do I make RetroArch save my settings permanently?
