# \"This App Can't Run on Your PC\" Error for Emulator — Fix

When I try to open my emulator on Windows, I get an error: "This app can't run on your PC. To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher." Or sometimes Windows SmartScreen says "Windows protected your PC" and refuses to run the file. I downloaded the emulator from what looks like the right place. How do I fix this?
