# vcruntime140.dll / MSVCP140.dll Missing Error Launching Emulator — Fix

When I try to launch my emulator (PCSX2, RPCS3, shadPS4, Cemu, Dolphin, or Xenia), Windows shows an error: "vcruntime140.dll was not found", "MSVCP140.dll is missing from your computer", or "The program can't start because MSVCP140_1.dll is missing." The emulator won't open at all. How do I fix this?
