How to unlock 60+ FPS in TAC / New GameLoop for CODM

TAC's default FPS cap is 60. Multiple users — including those on high-end hardware (RTX 4060 + i7 13th gen + 16 GB RAM) — report being unable to exceed 60–70 FPS in CODM through the standard emulator UI. Common framing:

  • "Hi, is there any way to set more than 60fps in the TAC/New Gameloop emulator?" — BloPsy_
  • "hocam i7 13. nesil işlemci var rtx 4060 ekran kartı var 16 gb ram var oyunun neden 70fps 60 fps oynuyom" — MetinMarket (TR)
  • "is there anyway to make my framrate to not drop when playing private lobbies?" — Adapt2change

The Chinese GameLoop release allows 110+ FPS at the same hardware, which fuels the perception that the TAC build is artificially capped. It is — but the cap can be bypassed via Smart Tool's Apply FPS path.

solution #547

Use GameLoopHub's Smart Tool to apply a higher FPS profile.

  1. Open the COD Mobile Smart Tool.
  2. From the FPS dropdown, pick 120 or 240 (240 only on monitors that support it; otherwise frame-pacing breaks).
  3. Click Apply FPS.
  4. Wait for the success log: "Configuration applied. Settings are active."
  5. Launch CODM via the Smart Tool's Launch CODM button (NOT the desktop shortcut — the cap reapplies on direct launches).

The Smart Tool writes to TAC's host config bypassing the emulator UI's hardcoded cap. Open Smart Tool →

solution #548

Lock resolution to 1080p first. TAC's renderer can't sustain 120 FPS at 4K on most consumer GPUs. Even RTX 4060 drops to 60–70 because the emulator's compositor is single-threaded:

  1. Emulator settings → 4 squares menu → settings → resolution → 1920×1080.
  2. Apply, restart emulator.
  3. Re-run Apply FPS via Smart Tool.

solution #549

Private lobby FPS drops are an emulation overhead artefact. Per leonmaxitv1: "emulation lags when the emulator isn't very well optimized." Private lobbies render more entities + custom map geometry that public matches share with cached state. Mitigations:

  • Lower in-game graphics from "Max" to "High".
  • Disable in-game shadows specifically — biggest FPS recovery in private matches.
  • Close all other apps before launching CODM (Chrome / Discord background tabs steal compositor cycles).

solution #550

Optionally test Chinese GameLoop for raw FPS — but expect higher ping. Per GameisLife (TR mod): "çin fps iyi ama orda da MS çok yüksek kalıyor ben biraz takıldım baktım olmuyor geri döndüm." The Chinese release isn't FPS-capped but routes traffic through Asian CDN for matchmaking, which adds 80–200 ms ping for European / NA players. Read the emulator comparison guide before switching.
