PUBG Mobile crashes at every match start (Classic / WoW modes)

After successfully launching PUBG Mobile through GameLoop / TAC and queuing into a match, the emulator crashes the instant the match starts loading. The crash reproduces in every mode — Classic, WoW, even custom rooms — and forces the user to reopen the emulator from scratch.

  • "Why does my game crash every time I start a match, regardless of the mode (Classic, WoW, etc.)? It crashes at the beginning, and I have to reopen the emulator." — MIRON
  • "Yes...but every time start a classic match...gameloop crashing" — Sajeewa
  • Same problem reproduces across multiple users on different hardware.
  • The lobby UI is responsive — crash happens specifically during match-start loading.

Root cause: PUBG's match-start loading triggers TAC's anti-cheat to validate the runtime environment. If validation fails (most common: missing virtualization features or corrupt cache), TAC's safer path is a hard exit rather than letting the user join.

Solutions

solution #568

Enable Hyper-V + Virtualization in BIOS + Windows. Most match-start crashes resolve by giving TAC the hypervisor environment it expects:

  1. BIOS: enable Intel VT-x / AMD-V / SVM mode.
  2. Windows: Win+R → optionalfeatures → enable Hyper-V, Virtual Machine Platform, Windows Hypervisor Platform.
  3. Reboot.
  4. Relaunch PUBG via Smart Tool.

solution #569

Clear PUBG's match cache. Inside the emulator: PUBG Mobile main menu → Settings (gear icon) → Basic → "Clear Cache" → confirm. Then re-queue. Stale match-shader cache causes loading crashes especially after PUBG version updates.

solution #570

If you're on legacy GameLoop, migrate to TAC. Per WhyBeKing: "Try on TAC, should be smoother." Legacy GameLoop has been unsupported since early 2026 — its match-start crashes don't get vendor fixes anymore.

solution #571

Disable Game Bar / Discord overlay / Logitech G Hub overlay. Background overlays inject DLLs into TAC that the anti-cheat rejects mid-match-start:

  • Win+G → settings → uncheck "Open Game Bar..."
  • Discord → User Settings → Game Overlay → toggle off
  • G Hub → Settings → disable in-game overlay
