Last updated: August 2, 2026

A new answer from the GameLoop Discord AI app has reopened the biggest question surrounding Call of Duty: Mobile on PC:

Is GameLoop finally preparing a working COD Mobile update?

When player ask why the latest COD Mobile update was still missing from the GameLoop AppMarket. The GameLoop-branded app replied that unexpected changes in the game’s system requirements required additional adaptation.

It also said that the updated version was being prepared for deployment and was currently in testing on the newer Tenstore Android Connect, commonly known as TAC.

That sounds promising, but it does not give players the answer they actually need.

The response does not say:

  • When the update will be released

  • Whether it will arrive on Classic GameLoop

  • Whether TAC will become the official COD Mobile platform

  • Whether the Smart Keymap is ready

  • Whether the update has completed stability and anti-cheat testing

  • How the recently mentioned “new GameLoop engine” fits into the plan

There is also another important complication: an earlier answer from the same Discord app appeared to describe a different path.

That earlier response said the compatibility problem had been identified and that work was continuing on a solution for GameLoop. It separately explained that releasing COD Mobile on TAC required permissions, legal rights, and cooperation from the game developer through a time-consuming process.

Now, the newer response says COD Mobile is already being tested on TAC.

Do these answers show genuine progress, a change in strategy, two projects being developed at the same time, or simply the limitations of treating an AI-generated Discord response as a product roadmap?

That is what we need to examine.

The Quick Answer

Here is the most accurate conclusion based on the information currently available:

Tencent appears to still be working on COD Mobile emulator compatibility, but there is no confirmed release date and no verified confirmation of which GameLoop platform will ultimately receive the update.

The July response makes TAC more relevant than before, but it does not prove that Classic GameLoop has been abandoned.

At the same time, it would no longer be responsible to promise that the update is definitely returning through the current Classic GameLoop client.

Until Tencent publishes a human-authored announcement, changelog, public test build, or updated AppMarket package, all three outcomes remain possible:

  1. Classic GameLoop receives a compatibility update.

  2. COD Mobile officially moves to TAC.

  3. Both are eventually replaced or consolidated through the new GameLoop engine.

What Does the New GameLoop Discord Response Say?

According to the GameLoop's app response on Discord:

  • COD Mobile is not showing its latest update in the GameLoop AppMarket.

  • The game introduced an unexpected change in its system requirements.

  • Additional adaptation is required.

  • GameLoop is working with the game developers on compatibility.

  • The updated version is being tested on TAC.

  • It will become available after remaining legal and system-related complications are cleared.

The most important detail is not the general promise that the team is “working on it.”

Players have heard similar language before.

The important detail is that the response specifically identifies TAC as the current testing environment.

That is a meaningful distinction because TAC is not simply another version number for the existing Classic GameLoop client. It is a newer GameLoop-branded Android engine with a more modern runtime.

Current COD Mobile builds can already install and launch on TAC through Play Store-based workflows, although international versions still face control and keymap limitations. See our Tenstore Android Connect COD Mobile installation guide for the current setup process.

Why the Earlier Response Matters

In an earlier answer shared through the same GameLoop Discord app, GameLoop said that the COD Mobile compatibility issue had been identified and that the team was working with the game developers to adapt to the changes.

That response stated that the updated version would be deployed on GameLoop once the required adjustments were completed.

It also addressed why GameLoop had not simply upgraded its Android version. According to the response, upgrading Android would increase system requirements and introduce additional complications. It then pointed to TAC as an existing GameLoop engine with an upgraded Android version.

When asked why COD Mobile was not being provided through TAC, the response said:

  • Publishing games on TAC requires permissions.

  • Legal rights must be secured.

  • Assistance from the game developer is required.

  • The process is time-consuming but necessary.

That answer appeared to describe two separate paths:

  • A compatibility solution being prepared for GameLoop

  • A longer legal and technical process required before COD Mobile could officially be distributed on TAC

The newer response changes the picture because it says the game is now being tested on TAC.

That could mean the required process has progressed. It could also mean Tencent’s technical direction has changed since the earlier answer.

What it does not tell us is whether work on the Classic GameLoop solution is still continuing.

Are the Two GameLoop Responses Contradictory?

Not necessarily, but they clearly emphasize different directions.

There are four reasonable explanations.

1. Classic GameLoop and TAC may both be under development

Tencent could be preparing a temporary compatibility solution for the existing GameLoop client while simultaneously testing a more sustainable TAC-based release.

This would allow the company to restore access for existing users without making the legacy runtime its permanent platform.

However, there is no public build, changelog, or release schedule confirming that two parallel solutions exist.

2. The TAC approval process may have progressed

The earlier response said that releasing COD Mobile through TAC required permissions, legal rights, and support from the game developer.

The July response says remaining legal complications still exist, but that testing is already taking place.

These statements can coexist.

Tencent may have obtained enough approval to begin internal testing without yet receiving everything required for public distribution.

3. Tencent may have changed direction

A Classic GameLoop fix may have originally been considered the faster solution.

During development, Tencent could have concluded that adapting the latest COD Mobile versions to the older runtime was more difficult or less sustainable than moving the game to the newer engine.

This would explain why the earlier answer emphasized a GameLoop compatibility fix while the newer answer specifically mentions TAC testing.

That remains an inference, not a confirmed strategy.

4. The Discord AI app may not be a reliable roadmap

The answers come from a GameLoop-branded application inside the official Discord server, but they are not the same as:

  • A developer announcement

  • A GameLoop blog post

  • A signed changelog

  • A release note

  • A statement from an identified Tencent representative

  • A downloadable public test build

An AI support system may generate answers using internal support material, previously supplied information, public documentation, or contextual assumptions.

Without knowing its data source, we cannot determine how much authority should be assigned to each answer.

The safest approach is to treat the responses as useful signals, not binding product commitments.

Why a Classic GameLoop Fix Is Technically Difficult

The COD Mobile problem stopped behaving like a normal seasonal update delay after version 1.0.53.

GameLoop’s official COD Mobile page still lists version 1.0.53, last updated on December 17, 2025. That is a clear indication that the public AppMarket channel has not yet moved to the current game branch. You can check the current listing on the official GameLoop COD Mobile page.

Manually installing a newer APK does not automatically solve the problem because an emulator provides much more than the game package.

COD Mobile depends on several interconnected layers:

  • Android runtime and system libraries

  • CPU architecture translation

  • Graphics rendering

  • Device-profile emulation

  • Game services

  • Window and process management

  • Mouse capture

  • Keyboard input

  • Smart Keymap logic

  • Emulator detection

  • Anti-cheat integration

Replacing the APK updates only the game files. It does not update the surrounding emulator environment.

The Android 7 problem

Classic GameLoop’s legacy AOW environment is still based on an Android 7-era runtime. Community diagnostics performed through ADB have identified current legacy environments as Android 7.1.2, API level 25.

This does not prove that Android 7 is the only reason newer COD Mobile versions fail.

The incompatibility could involve multiple components, including rendering changes, game services, input validation, anti-cheat behavior, device checks, or Smart Keymap integration.

However, an older Android foundation creates an additional adaptation burden. The further the game’s requirements move from the legacy environment, the more emulator-specific work is required to keep it running.

GameLoop’s own earlier Discord response indirectly acknowledged this issue. It said that upgrading the current Android environment would increase hardware requirements and create further complications, while identifying TAC as the GameLoop engine that already contains an upgraded Android version.

This is why a TAC-based solution is technically believable.

It is also why a return to the existing Classic GameLoop runtime cannot be assumed.

Opening the Game Is Only Part of the Solution

A working COD Mobile emulator release needs to do more than reach the login screen.

A usable official solution must provide:

  • Stable Multiplayer matches

  • Stable Battle Royale matches

  • Correct emulator matchmaking

  • Mouse capture that does not become stuck

  • Reliable camera movement

  • Functional ADS and firing behavior

  • Vehicle controls

  • Loot and inventory controls

  • Support for new modes

  • A maintained Smart Keymap

  • Compatible anti-cheat behavior

  • A reliable update mechanism

TAC has already demonstrated that recent COD Mobile builds can run on a newer Tencent emulator environment.

The remaining question is whether Tencent has completed the full user experience expected from an official GameLoop release.

The July Discord response does not mention Smart Keymap status at all.

That omission matters. A build that launches but has no complete keyboard and mouse control system would not be a full replacement for Classic GameLoop.

Is COD Mobile Coming Back to Classic GameLoop?

There is currently no honest way to answer yes.

It remains possible, but it has not been confirmed.

The earlier Discord response appeared to point toward a compatibility solution for GameLoop. The newer response places current testing on TAC. Neither response provides a Classic GameLoop build number, test client, release date, or technical changelog.

The most accurate conclusion is:

A Tencent-based COD Mobile emulator solution appears to remain under development, but we can no longer confidently describe it as a confirmed Classic GameLoop fix.

Classic GameLoop could still receive one final compatibility update.

Tencent could also decide that continuing to adapt a legacy Android environment is no longer practical and move COD Mobile toward TAC or another newer client.

Until there is a working public release, both possibilities remain unconfirmed.

What Happened to the GameLoop+ Name?

There is another detail worth examining.

GameLoopHub previously observed the name GameLoop+ in GameLoop’s own partner application form. That wording has since been replaced with the more general phrase:

new GameLoop engine

The change is significant because it shows that references to a next-generation GameLoop project were not limited to community theories or Discord AI responses.

GameLoop itself used forward-looking terminology in its partner materials.

However, the wording does not prove that:

  • GameLoop+ was a finalized product name

  • GameLoop+ and TAC are the same product

  • The new GameLoop engine is Tencent App Store

  • Classic GameLoop will be replaced

  • A public global release is close

GameLoop+ may have been:

  • An early marketing name

  • A temporary project label

  • An internal development name

  • A planned rebrand

  • A general name for the newer GameLoop architecture

Changing the wording to “new GameLoop engine” may simply allow GameLoop to discuss the project without committing to a final brand name.

For now, new GameLoop engine is the safer term because it is the wording currently being used.

Are TAC, Tencent App Store, and the New GameLoop Engine the Same?

They appear to be related, but we should not present them as confirmed identical products.

Classic GameLoop

The existing global GameLoop client, based on the legacy AOW environment and historically used for COD Mobile and PUBG Mobile.

Tenstore Android Connect

A newer GameLoop-branded Android engine with an upgraded Android environment. It appears in newer Tencent/GameLoop packages and supports Play Store-based installation workflows.

Tencent App Store

Tencent’s Windows Android application platform for the Chinese market. It can run current COD Mobile versions, but international releases are not directly supplied through its store and normally do not receive the built-in Chinese COD Mobile keymap. Learn more on the EmuDesk Smart Tool page.

New GameLoop engine

The current generic wording seen in GameLoop’s partner application material. Tencent has not publicly explained whether this refers directly to TAC, a globalized version of TAC, a newer distribution client, or a broader platform that will incorporate multiple existing components.

The platforms may share architecture or technology.

That is different from having confirmation that they will all become one product.

Does This Contradict Our Previous Report?

Our previous report concluded that COD Mobile emulator support was continuing and that a real solution was being developed.

The new information does not necessarily invalidate that conclusion.

The earlier GameLoop response said the issue had been identified, compatibility work was active, and support had not been dropped. The newer response says testing is now taking place on TAC.

What has changed is the level of certainty we can attach to the target platform.

The updated conclusion should be:

Work on COD Mobile within Tencent’s emulator ecosystem appears to be continuing, but it is not yet clear whether the final solution will arrive through Classic GameLoop, TAC, or the new GameLoop engine.

This is more precise than promising a direct return to the existing client.

When Will the COD Mobile GameLoop Update Be Released?

There is no verified release date.

The Discord app says the game is in testing, but “testing” can refer to several very different stages:

  • Initial compatibility testing

  • Internal launch testing

  • Graphics and performance validation

  • Anti-cheat testing

  • Smart Keymap development

  • Multiplayer and Battle Royale testing

  • Regional distribution approval

  • Legal approval

  • Closed beta testing

  • Final release-candidate testing

The response does not provide:

  • A GameLoop or TAC version number

  • A COD Mobile package number

  • A test-completion percentage

  • A public beta date

  • A Smart Keymap status

  • An AppMarket release window

Without those details, predictions such as “next week” or “next season” would be speculation.

We will consider the update properly confirmed when at least one of the following happens:

  1. GameLoop publishes a human-authored announcement.

  2. A current COD Mobile version appears in the official AppMarket.

  3. A public GameLoop or TAC test client is released.

  4. An official Global Smart Keymap becomes available.

  5. GameLoop publishes migration instructions for the new engine.

  6. Players can repeatedly complete Multiplayer and Battle Royale matches without systematic crashes or input failures.

Until then, “testing on TAC” should not be interpreted as “releasing soon.”

How to Play COD Mobile on PC While Waiting

Players who want an official, fully supported GameLoop release can continue waiting.

Players who want to play now have two practical Tencent-based options:

  1. TAC with the free COD Mobile Tool by GameLoopHub

  2. Tencent App Store with the paid EmuDesk Smart Tool

Both can provide access to current COD Mobile versions, but they solve the control problem differently.

Option 1: TAC With the Free GameLoopHub Tool

What Is the Free TAC Route?

Tenstore Android Connect is the most accessible newer GameLoop-branded environment currently available to players.

COD Mobile Global, Garena, and VNG can be installed through the emulator’s Play Store workflow. Because TAC can run newer COD Mobile builds, it provides a practical alternative while Classic GameLoop remains behind.

The main limitation is keymapping.

International COD Mobile versions do not currently have a complete official TAC Smart Keymap. The free GameLoopHub route therefore uses stable, fixed-position keymaps rather than a fully context-aware Smart Keymap.

What Does the COD Mobile Tool by GameLoopHub Do?

The free tool is designed specifically for Tenstore Android Connect.

It can:

  • Apply COD Mobile keymap configurations

  • Support Global, Garena, and VNG

  • Apply optional FPS settings

  • Restore the emulator configuration database

  • Close GameLoop and emulator processes

  • Detect installations on different drives

  • Launch Play Store inside the emulator

  • Provide a multilingual interface

The tool modifies local emulator configuration files rather than COD Mobile game files. See the COD Mobile Tool by GameLoopHub page for details.

Important limitation

The free setup uses a normal fixed-position keymap.

It is not equivalent to a complete Smart Keymap.

A fixed keymap assigns keyboard and mouse controls to specific screen coordinates. It can provide functional gameplay, but it cannot always respond automatically when the game switches between different interfaces and control contexts.

Manual adjustment may be required for:

  • Multiplayer

  • Battle Royale

  • DMZ or temporary modes

  • Vehicles

  • Loot interfaces

  • Custom HUD layouts

  • Special classes

  • New seasonal actions

Advantages

  • Free to use

  • Runs on a newer GameLoop-branded environment

  • Supports current COD Mobile installations

  • Supports Global, Garena, and VNG

  • Provides Play Store access

  • Includes configuration recovery

  • Suitable for users comfortable editing controls

Limitations

  • Does not provide a complete context-aware Smart Keymap

  • HUD changes can move controls away from their assigned positions

  • Some actions may require manual configuration

  • Different game modes may require different layouts

  • Installation is less straightforward than the old Classic GameLoop workflow

Best for

Players who want to return to COD Mobile without paying and are comfortable making occasional keymap adjustments.

Option 2: Tencent App Store With EmuDesk Smart Tool

What Is the EmuDesk Route?

Tencent App Store is another newer Tencent Android environment capable of running current COD Mobile versions.

However, international users face several obstacles:

  • The platform is designed primarily for Chinese users.

  • Global, Garena, and VNG are not directly supplied through its store.

  • There is no normal Play Store installation route.

  • External APK installation normally requires QQ or WeChat.

  • The built-in COD Mobile keymap is intended for the Chinese version.

  • International versions can launch without usable controls.

EmuDesk Smart Tool is designed to address those specific limitations.

What Does EmuDesk Smart Tool Do?

EmuDesk Smart Tool is a paid Windows utility built specifically for Tencent App Store.

It provides:

  • A prepared COD Mobile Smart Keymap

  • Global, Garena, and VNG support

  • APK installation without signing in through QQ or WeChat

  • Automatic Tencent App Store detection

  • One-click English interface translation

  • A launcher that closes stale emulator processes

  • Automatic keymap application before launch

  • Per-game undo

  • Full configuration reset

  • Emulator restart and process controls

The tool uses the emulator’s own configuration path. According to its technical documentation, it does not inject DLLs, edit game memory, install a kernel driver, patch COD Mobile, or create an overlay. See the EmuDesk Smart Tool page for the complete feature list.

The key difference is that this route provides a Smart Keymap, not only a fixed manual layout.

That allows the control system to respond more naturally across different gameplay states and interfaces.

Advantages

  • Smart Keymap support

  • Global, Garena, and VNG compatibility

  • No QQ or WeChat login required for its APK installation workflow

  • Automated launch and keymap application

  • English interface translation

  • Undo and reset functionality

  • Closer to the traditional GameLoop control experience

Limitations

  • Requires a paid subscription

  • Supports Tencent App Store only

  • Requires a separate emulator installation

  • Initial game and resource downloads are large

  • Remains an independent third-party utility

  • Cannot guarantee future game-policy or anti-cheat compatibility

Best for

Players who prioritize Smart Keymap behavior and want the closest currently available alternative to the traditional COD Mobile GameLoop control experience.

Are These Methods Official?

The emulator environments are part of Tencent’s broader ecosystem, but the GameLoopHub and EmuDesk tools are independent utilities.

GameLoopHub and EmuDesk are not affiliated with:

  • Tencent

  • GameLoop

  • Activision

  • Garena

  • VNG

The tools are designed to modify emulator configuration rather than COD Mobile game files. However, no independent utility can guarantee permanent account safety or future compatibility.

Game policies, emulator detection, and anti-cheat systems may change.

Players should:

  • Download tools only from their official pages.

  • Avoid utilities that edit game memory.

  • Avoid DLL injectors and anti-cheat bypasses.

  • Keep backups of emulator configuration files.

  • Understand that third-party tools are used at their own risk.

Should You Use Another Android Emulator?

COD Mobile may launch on other generic Android emulators, but launching the game is not the same as using an officially recognized environment.

Other emulators may introduce uncertainty involving:

  • Emulator detection

  • Matchmaking classification

  • Account restrictions

  • Anti-cheat compatibility

  • Input behavior

  • Update stability

The two routes discussed here remain within Tencent’s emulator family.

That does not eliminate risk, but it keeps the game inside an environment technically closer to the ecosystem historically used for COD Mobile on PC.

Final Verdict

The July GameLoop Discord response is encouraging, but it is not a release announcement.

Its most significant claim is that the latest COD Mobile build is being tested on TAC.

That claim is technically possible. TAC already provides a newer Android environment capable of running recent COD Mobile versions, while Classic GameLoop remains tied to an aging runtime.

However, the response does not confirm:

  • A Classic GameLoop update

  • A public TAC release

  • A release date

  • A finished Smart Keymap

  • A migration to the new GameLoop engine

The earlier Discord response appeared to point toward a compatibility solution for GameLoop while describing a TAC release as dependent on a lengthy legal and permission process. The newer answer may indicate that this process has progressed, that Tencent is developing both routes, or that its strategy has shifted toward TAC.

The previous appearance of GameLoop+, followed by the current phrase new GameLoop engine, adds further evidence that GameLoop is working on a newer platform. It does not reveal exactly what that platform is or when players will receive it.

Our current assessment is:

COD Mobile emulator support appears to remain active inside Tencent’s ecosystem, but the final platform is still unconfirmed. Classic GameLoop may receive another compatibility update, TAC may become the official route, or both may eventually give way to the new GameLoop engine.

Players who prefer to wait should watch for an official build rather than relying on predicted release dates.

Players who want to play now can use:

  • TAC with the free GameLoopHub tool for a functional normal keymap.

  • Tencent App Store with EmuDesk Smart Tool for a paid Smart Keymap experience.

There is evidence that work is continuing.

There is still no evidence strong enough to tell players exactly when, where, or in what form the official solution will arrive.
