CODM Season 7 Terminated: Event Missions Not Tracking or Counting on GameLoop PC (2026)

Medium6 solutions

My CODM Season 7 Terminated event mission progress is not tracking on GameLoop PC. Completed matches do not count toward event goals, mission counters are stuck at zero even after qualifying matches, or the progress bar does not update until I restart the game or days later. Some missions show partial credit only.

solution #1779

check-mission-mode-and-match-type-requirements (sortOrder=1, isMostHelpful)

Most CODM S7 event missions are mode-specific. Completing a Ranked match will not count toward a mission that requires a Battle Royale game, and vice versa. Read the mission requirement carefully before playing.

  1. Open the event page and tap the mission to expand its requirement text. Look for words like "in Multiplayer", "in BR", "in Ranked", "using [weapon]", or "as a [class]".
  2. Play the required game mode, not a substitute. Training mode, Bots matches, and custom room matches do not count toward most seasonal event missions unless explicitly stated.
  3. If you are using a specific weapon or operator as required, confirm it is equipped in your active loadout before the match — equipping mid-match does not retroactively credit kills/actions done before equipping.

This accounts for the majority of "not counting" reports — the mission is tracking correctly; the wrong mode was being played.

solution #1780

force-refresh-mission-progress-in-events-tab (sortOrder=2)

On GameLoop PC, the CODM events panel sometimes shows cached progress data. The server has recorded your progress, but the client display is stale — it looks like nothing counted when it actually did.

  1. After completing a match, go to Events in the CODM main menu.
  2. Tap the event tile to open it, then back out to the main Events page and tap it again. This forces the client to re-query the server.
  3. Alternatively: close CODM entirely, reopen it, and check the event page — the correct accumulated progress will now show.

If the number jumps when you reopen, this is the issue. The fix is to check progress only after a fresh session open rather than immediately after each match.

solution #1781

ensure-stable-connection-during-match-end-screen (sortOrder=3)

Mission credit is awarded at the match end screen, not during gameplay. If GameLoop loses network connection as the results screen loads (which is common on unstable connections), the server may not receive the mission-completion payload and the kill/win will not count.

  1. Stay on the results screen for at least 10 seconds after a match ends. Do not press the Home button or close GameLoop immediately.
  2. Watch for the mission progress notification (usually a pop-up or banner at the top of the results screen). If it appears, the credit was recorded.
  3. If you are on Wi-Fi: move closer to the router, or switch to a 5 GHz band to reduce packet loss around match-end sequences.
  4. If you are using a VPN or proxy in GameLoop: the end-of-match packet can be dropped or delayed. Try disabling the VPN before playing mission-critical matches.

solution #1782

clear-codm-cache-within-gameloop (sortOrder=4)

A corrupted CODM local cache can cause the events system to mismatch your client's mission state with the server's record, preventing updates from displaying even when the server has them.

  1. Exit CODM and return to the GameLoop home screen.
  2. Right-click the CODM icon → Clear Cache (GameLoop 8.x+ has this in context menu).
  3. If the option is not available: in Windows, go to C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\GameLoop\Runtimes\com.activision.callofduty.shooter\ and delete the cache folder.
  4. Relaunch CODM, log in, and check the event page. Progress data is server-side and will reload correctly.

solution #1783

log-out-and-back-in-to-sync-event-state (sortOrder=5)

GameLoop's session token can get out of sync with the CODM server's event state after the S7 patch. A full log-out/log-in cycle forces a fresh authentication handshake and re-syncs all event progress.

  1. In CODM, tap your profile icon → SettingsAccountLog Out.
  2. Confirm the log-out. You will return to the CODM title screen.
  3. Log back in with the same account (Google, Facebook, Activision, or guest).
  4. Once in the lobby, open Events — the mission tracker will re-sync from the server and display the correct state.

solution #1784

report-missing-credit-via-in-game-support (sortOrder=6)

If you have a screenshot or match history proving you completed the mission conditions (right mode, right weapon, match won/finished), you can file a support ticket to have the credit manually applied. Activision support can verify server logs and grant mission progress that failed to register due to a server-side bug in the S7 event system.

  1. Take a screenshot of your match history (in-game stats → history tab) showing the qualifying match.
  2. Note the match date, time, mode, and your performance (kills, wins, etc.) relevant to the mission.
  3. Go to Settings (gear icon)Customer ServiceSubmit a Ticket → category: Events/Rewards.
  4. Attach your screenshot and describe the mission name and the qualifying match. Support typically responds within 2–5 business days.
