GameLoop High CPU / RAM Usage Fix — Slow PC & Overheating

MediumGameLoop
GameLoop consuming 60–100% CPU or large amounts of RAM — even on mid-range or gaming PCs — is one of the most common complaints from long-time users. The emulator process stays elevated well after a game has loaded, the PC fan runs constantly, and other applications become sluggish or unresponsive. **Why it happens:** GameLoop runs a full Android virtual machine (VM) inside Windows. The VM has its own OS layer, background services, play store, and app update daemon — all running simultaneously with your game and the GameLoop UI. If any of those layers aren't properly managed, resource usage escalates quickly. The most common culprits are: incorrect RAM allocation, background Android apps, auto-updaters, the wrong rendering engine for your hardware, and Windows power-management settings. **This is different from FPS drops inside a game.** High CPU/RAM usage is a system-level resource problem; FPS drops inside CODM or PUBG Mobile are a separate rendering issue. This guide addresses the system resource side. | Symptom | Likely cause | |---------|-------------| | CPU at 80–100% even on the main screen | Android background services / rendering engine mismatch | | RAM above 4 GB for a single game | Memory allocation too high or Android apps running in background | | PC fan loud immediately after GameLoop opens | Power plan stuck on balanced + VSync off | | Slowdown after 30–60 min of play | Thermal throttling — CPU/GPU temperature | | All other apps freeze while GameLoop is open | Not enough RAM headroom allocated to Windows |
