Will my CODM main account get banned for using TAC / Smart Tool? — community ban data

"If I play CODM through TAC / GameLoopHub Smart Tool on my main account, will I get banned?" is the single most-asked question across every support channel — English, Turkish, Spanish. The fear is reasonable: emulator detection is something Tencent's anti-cheat actively does, and a ban on your main account costs years of progress, BP/CP, and unlocks.

This guide synthesizes real community ban data from people who actually play on their main accounts via TAC, NOT marketing claims from emulator vendors.

solution #631

What community members report (May 2026):

Source (Discord user)Played via TAC, on main account?Ban received?
Why Be King When You Can Be God (mod)Yes, "MP ranked only 2 matches with bots on startup. Br and dmz few of them""Didn't get banned for over 2 months"
DolayasYes, main account, multiple days"a lo mucho te dan ban de 1 dia, o 7 como maximo" (1-7 day max)
EyDanYes, "llevo unos dias jugado por que mi celular esta muerto""aun no me han baneado" (no ban yet)
WhyBeKing on first ban duration(general advice)"Empieza con unas horas, Si pasa eso yo no probaría otra vez" (starts with hours; if so don't retry)
Community average(based on ~10+ data points)~90% no ban; if banned, typically 1-7 days, never permanent

Community consensus: "90% de la gente de aquí no tiene problema." (90% of people here don't have a problem — WhyBeKing).

solution #632

What actually triggers Tencent's anti-cheat — and how to avoid each.

  • Excessive headshot ratio (>60%): Emulator + M&K aim is genuinely faster than touch input. If your headshot ratio is suddenly much higher than your phone-history average, the system flags it. Mitigation: don't aim only at heads in ranked matches.
  • Mouse-look snap velocity: Snapping camera 180° instantly is humanly impossible. Smart Tool's keymap respects natural mouse-pointer physics; the trigger is using third-party scripts like recoil macros. Don't install macro tools — the keymap alone is fine.
  • Sustained K/D >5.0 against confirmed mobile-only opponents: Tencent's MMR matches emulator players against other emulator/controller players, but if you somehow end up in a mobile-only lobby and dominate, you get reported.
  • Reports from teammates or opponents: Even with normal play, 5+ reports in a week can trigger a manual review that escalates if anything looks suspicious.

solution #633

Practical hygiene to keep your main account safe:

  1. Use Smart Tool, NOT third-party macro/recoil tools. Smart Tool sends standard touch events; macro tools simulate impossible patterns.
  2. Don't queue with mobile-only friends on ranked. Per ӃryptønPsychø: "Since you're in the group, the entire party only gets matchmade with emulator or controller players" — but if Tencent occasionally fails the matchmaker and your group ends up against mobile-only players, the imbalance gets reported.
  3. Play lower graphics settings. Counter-intuitively, ultra graphics + 240 FPS makes you stand out as having "PC-like advantages". Drop to medium graphics + 120 FPS — same playability, less visual fingerprint.
  4. Don't stream/upload at high quality with TAC overlay visible. Tencent has scraped Twitch/YouTube to find emulator users from chat overlays in the past.

solution #634

If you get a ban anyway — what to do.

  1. Check ban duration in CODM. If it's hours-only, just wait it out — don't immediately retry, that escalates.
  2. If 1-7 day ban: stop playing entirely for the duration. Don't try to log in. Don't appeal — the appeal flow can flag your account further. After expiry, return cautiously with conservative gameplay (medium graphics, normal aim).
  3. If permanent ban: extremely rare for emulator-only behavior. Usually means the system found something stronger than emulator detection (macros, account sharing, etc.). Appeals via official Activision support sometimes work for genuinely innocent users.

solution #635

If you're risk-averse: play on a guest / secondary account. Per ЯHØÐRIC: "estoy jugando como invitado pero la verdad quisiera usar mi cuenta oficial ya." Many users start on guest mode on TAC, then transition to main account once they've verified it works on their hardware for 2-4 weeks without flags. This is the most conservative path — costs you 1-2 weeks of progress but eliminates the risk window.
