Call of Duty Mobile won't update on the Tencent / Smart Tool emulator — how to update via APKPure

LowCall of Duty: Mobile2 solutions

On the Tencent / Smart Tool route, CODM updates through APKPure — not through the emulator itself. The emulator runs the game but does not manage the game's own version. Open the APKPure app on the emulator, search for CODM, and tap Update from there.

You play Call of Duty: Mobile on PC through the Tencent / Smart Tool emulator. A new client version or season pre-load has dropped — your squad is already playing on it — but you can't see an update prompt inside the emulator, or the in-game update button loops without pulling anything. Re-launching, clearing the app data, or reinstalling the emulator doesn't help.

Cause: On this route the game APK and the emulator are two separate things. The Tencent / Smart Tool layer is the emulator — it runs the game but has no control over the game's own version. The CODM APK was installed from an APK store (most commonly APKPure), and that store — not the emulator — is what holds the pending update. So the update lives in the place you installed the game from, not in the game or the emulator UI. This is a "which app owns the update" confusion, not a corrupted install — your account, rank, and progress are untouched.

update-via-apkpure (sortOrder=1, isMostHelpful)

Update CODM through the APKPure app — the store it was installed from.

  1. Open the APKPure app on the emulator's home screen or app drawer. (This is the store you used when you first installed CODM on this route.)
  2. Search for "CODM" or "Call of Duty: Mobile" inside APKPure — exactly the way you'd search on Google Play.
  3. Open the game's listing and tap Update. Let the download finish, then relaunch CODM.

That's the whole fix. The update goes through the store, not the emulator. Your account and progress are not affected — you are only refreshing the app binary.

new-season-content-not-unlocked-yet (sortOrder=2)

Updated but the new season content isn't available? If this happened right before a season launch, what your squad grabbed is usually the season pre-load — the updated client that ships 1–2 days before the season goes live. The new operators, maps, and events unlock at the official season launch time, not when the update lands. Pull the update via APKPure and wait for the server-side unlock — you are not missing any gameplay, and you won't be behind.

If you're still on an older client after updating (the game tells you to update again at login), open APKPure a second time and confirm the version number shown matches what the game is requesting. Occasionally the store caches a slightly older build; tap Refresh or re-search to get the newest listing.
